For Xiao Yu to remember the black cat

Kirin inferred from the smooth traffic this morning that many managed to wake up in the wee hours to catch the final match of World Cup, and were too tired for work after that. Germany vs Argentina - 1 : 0

Was working on the last exercise machine - stationary bicycle when I realised it would probably be my last time here, in this gym. A place where I frequented from as a just-married woman, to an expecting mom, to a SAHM. I turned to look at the counter, friendly aunty wasn't around today.

She's someone I would love to say goodbye to. Someone who dons sweetie hairbands with ribbons, always greets you with a bright smile, and sincerely asks about 小雨。I was flabberghasted when she revealed her age of 60+, encouraging me to join her in Zumba classes. Her cheerful personality and image certainly shaved a couple of years off her age.

Wearing the long-lost hourglass necklace.

Caught the black cat taking its afternoon nap on the garden bench.

While I often complained to Kirin about hearing the cries and moans from the cats owned by the family staying one floor below us or from the stray cats in the estate (which sometimes disturbed 小雨's naps), I know they are perfectly harmless. In fact 小雨 adores them. One of the first chinese words she learnt were 猫猫 and 狗狗, from our strolls in the precinct garden. She would have gone:" Oh! 猫猫 Zz.. " if she saw this... You bet.

Bought a hot milo kosong, take-away but uncle made the milo in this straw cup. I wonder how I could sip a hot drink using a straw, without scorching my tongue? I headed to a table, sat down, removed the cover and sipped from the cup instead. Maybe uncle was creating a chance for Yang to practise her photography skills. *Positive thinking rules*

Of culinary she cooks to stimulate her five senses, with her stash of homemade chicken stock; Of lyrics she sings to echo her moods and feelings, from the world of beautiful singers and songwriters; Of yoghurt art she creates to capture her memories and emotions, in a bowl of low fat natural yoghurt.
